2019 SHINES Symposium
In 2019, the annual SHINES Symposium was held at the Mission Inn Hotel in Riverside Downtown from March 30th-31th. More than fifty members of the SHINES Energy Frontier Research Center were in attendance. Groups presented research on topics such as spin current flow transport in antiferromagnets, phonon transport, superconductivity, twisted 2D materials theory model, hot charge carriers, MBE 2D materials growth and many others.
2017 SHINES Symposium
In 2017, the annual SHINES Symposium was held at the Hilton Torrey Pines near San Diego from August 8th-10th. More than fifty members of the SHINES Energy Frontier Research Center were in attendance. Groups presented research on topics such as magnon-mediated spin transport in Pt-YIG, observation of Majorana fermion modes, hot charge carriers in two-dimensional devices, and many others.
2016 SHINES Symposium
The 2016 SHINES Symposium was held in the Culver Center in downtown Riverside on August 25th-27th. It was attended by over sixty members of the SHINES Energy Frontier Research Center. Groups presented research on topics such as the photo-spin-voltaic effect in Pt-YIG, magnonic holographic memory, impact excitation in two-dimensional semiconductor devices, and many others.
2015 SHINES Symposium
The 2015 SHINES Symposium, held on September 14th and 15th in Long Beach, was attended by over sixty members of the SHINES Energy Frontier Research Center. Groups presented research on topics such as the photo-spin-voltaic effect in Pt-YIG, spin-orbit manipulation of magnetization, natural regulation of spin and energy transport in quantum systems, and many others.
